Outline @ Showway 2008

Outline is pleased to inform you that it is exhibiting at the “Showway” International Pro Audio and Lighting expo being held in Bergamo from February 24th to 26th 2008.

Like the majority of the members of the APIAS (Association of Italian Manufacturers for the Entertainment Industry), the Brescia company announces that it will support this international trade show, highlighting to the utmost its loudspeaker systems and new products being launched in 2008.

During the year, Outline will only take part in Showway and (as is the case with almost all the aforementioned APIAS members and other important firms in the sector) will not participate in any other Italian trade expos.

As well as showcasing the entire range of Outline products, the 100 square metre stand will also host the presentation of the self-powered versions of the new compact DVS 12 and DVS 15 systems, high-performance units at their world expo debut.

Recent introductions will include the new Kanguro 2008 system (“the speaker within a speaker”), the previous version of which won a “Plasa Award for Product Excellence” and (like its predecessor) is able to ensure 130 db SPL of top-end audio reproduction. But everything can now be “customized”, thanks to the possibility of PC control via an “Ethernet port”. Intuitive software – written as always by Outline – allows countless complex operations to be carried out and is supplied as standard with every Kanguro system.

At Bergamo, in the large acoustically treated conference hall, it will be possible to listen to both Outline’s line-array systems - the Butterfly and the mini-COM.P.A.S.S. The directivity of the latter is adjustable from 60° to 150°, making it the only compact VLA at international level to have such a feature. As many people probably know, real “high fidelity” in sound reinforcement of any genre (including classical music), ‘compact lightness’ and exceptional SPL have enabled Butterfly to win the favour of some of the world’s most important rental companies; in the course of 2008, events and concerts to be held (on which at present no advance news can be given) promise to be very high profile as far as international prestige is concerned.

For the others (rental firms, FOH/System engineers, installers, etc.) who haven’t yet had the possibility of hearing the loudspeaker system in question, Outline believes Showway 2008 to be an interesting opportunity. Outline also wishes to mention that it is easy to obtain free Showway entrance badges (valid for the three days of the expo).
