Beyma 6CX200Nd

30.05.09

A new coaxial unit designed for the most demanding professional applications where the low space and restricted volume is a requirement.

Nowadays the demand for compact systems is clearly increasing and the need for small transducers with high level performance is bigger and more exigent day by day.

Beyma's new 6.5” coaxial driver comes to fit perfectly in that kind of applications where there is a need for a high quality small size driver with real extended low frequency response and able to reach up to the top of the audio spectrum.

The LF unit features an excellent power handling (200 W AES) and outstanding sound quality properties in the mid range. This unit has been designed using Beyma´s latest research knowledge, tools and technologies, such as MMSS technology, which allows to achieve a completely linear and symmetric behaviour of the mobile assembly, even in the longer displacements. Also thanks to the use of a CONEX spider, which is a fireproof material, it is able to withstand extreme power conditions (in mechanical and thermal terms) keeping always its properties and, therefore, increasing the useful life of the loudspeaker.

The HF unit is based on a compact compression driver with a lightweight Mylar diaphragm and a 1.75” voice coil. A unit whish is able to deliver a highly linear response and very low harmonic distortion levels.

Both units have been combined and optimized for a coherent, linear, extended and accurate overall response. And thanks to the design of a common magnetic circuit for both LF and HF units, this driver features a very low weight and depth (85 mm mounting depth).
