Spotlight in China

After the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, where they provided the lighting for the Olympic Fencing Hall of National Conference Centre, theatre of all the fencing matches held, the Italian Company Spotlight is now present in the most important cultural centres in China: the Guanzhou Opera House, the Chongqing Grand Theater and the Concert Hall in Shenzhen.

Spotlight in China, as well as in about a hundred Countries where there is an exclusive distributors, is means not only fixtures but also training: in November 2009 they had two important seminars of Lighting Design and Lighting Technology, thanks also to the cooperation of important local partners, such as the luminary Liang Hongzhou.

Spotlight are involved in several training activities worldwide, in partnership with the most important Institutes and in collaboration with the strong official dealers network.
In November 2009, the Italian manufacturer -together with some Senior Chinese stage-lighting designers such as Professor Liang Hongzhou - had two seminars of Lighting Design and Lighting Technology organized by Shanghai LasLead Technology - Rm 504, No.2, Lane 325, YanAnXi Road, Shanghai, P.R. of China.

Guangzhou Opera House: over 350 Fresnel, PC and Floodlight
Located on the riverside of the Pearl River, the Guangzhou Opera House will resonate the high notes of Chinese Opera as a lasting monument to the New Millennium. Designed for the 2010 Asia Games, this big cultural project on the South of China covers an area of 46,000 square metres with 1,800 seats and a multifunctional digital hall with an area of 2,500 square metres. The Spotlight fixtures provided to light this Opera House are more than 350, with Floodlights, high power PCs and Fresnels providing optimal lighting performance and practical to use, combining a long life and an easy maintenance.

Spotlight products, in fact, are highly innovative and very well-finished.

The die-cast and extruded aluminium housing for thermal dissipation of the top of the range series for the professional market, Evolution and Sintesi range, combines the security –as the micro-switch, the fast lock and the accessories  with the precision of sliding rails and balancing and the perfect performances, without any noise or light spill.

Chongqing Grand Theater
Located in Southwest China, in the municipality of Chinese central government with most population, the Chongqing Grand Theatre is home to a 1850-capacity (Grand) and a 930-capacity (Medium) theatre in an area of about 80.000 squares meters.
As a theatre consisting of music halls and opera houses, the Chongqing Grand Theatre is an expressive sculpture, characterized by wide glass plates and representing the metaphor of a ship floating on the ocean of light. The light is in fact a central element also for the world class performances hosted.
For the Chongqing Grand Theater the world’s most advanced lighting equipment and over 450 Italian manufactured fixtures have been provided.

PC and Fresnel spotlights, but also Domino and Ribaltina floodlights have been chosen due to their lighting characteristics and the effective beam of light. Once again, the Italian Company - leader for the performing arts since the founding, 40 years ago - has been awarded thanks to its commitment to the quality and the innovation and to the improvements of the internal Research and Development Department.

Shenzhen Concert Hall
The aesthetic design, more and more important in architectural applications, and the customization of optical and finishing are among the reasons why a hundred of Spotlights’ fixtures have been chosen for the Shenzhen Concert Hall.

This multifunctional cultural centre of 25.000 square meters consists of an auditorium hall with 1800 seats mainly hosting symphonic music concerts, a small theatre and other facilities such as a digital recording studio, four VIP Lounges, 18 piano rooms (a 150-year-old piano from Austria and dozens of the best Pianos in the world) and 20 five-star standard design artist apartments.
