ETC announces distributorship in India

Responding to the increased demand for its lighting products and technical expertise worldwide and now specifically in the growing Indian market, lighting, control and dimming manufacturer ETC has chosen long time US dealer Barbizon Lighting Company as its official distributor in India.

With its newly established office in the city of Bangalore, Barbizon Lighting is a sales, service and educational centre for ETC products. Barbizon is also working with dealers across India to inform customers on the benefits of ETC’s lighting technologies – powerful ETC Sensor dimming; the Eos, Congo and SmartFade families of control desks; the Unison Paradigm lighting control line; as well as energy saving lighting fixtures like ETC’s new Selador Series LEDs and the acclaimed Source Four line already widely in use on the subcontinent.

Barbizon brings its deep expertise in project management with professional grade equipment to the market. Says ETC CEO Fred Foster: “For more than 20 years, Barbizon and ETC have been working together to serve the lighting industry around the world. It is a natural step to work with Barbizon to provide the same excellent level of service and technology to the lighting industries in India.”

Abhay Shah is the manager of Barbizon India, heading up the Bangalore office. Shah holds a Masters in Industrial Engineering and Management from Oklahoma State University, specialising in supply chain research.

The Barbizon India office has already supplied ETC lighting equipment and systems to Electrocraft and Kasthuri TV and is handling the specifications and project management for a new educational facility and a convention centre.
